Bogart’s 2017 Overall IDP “Wishlist”

We all have personal preferences when it comes to drafting and I would like to share mine. I recently ranked all the IDPs and realized that it didn’t actually reflect who I may target as I would be drafting for myself. Injury history, situation, and a few other details could actually have me avoiding some players or wanting others. So I am not one to shy away from skipping some players and/or reaching for who I’d like to own. This can be seen as a redraft and dynasty “wish list”. I always want to win now and this can possibly reflect what I think as I draft or value for now and in the future.

I practice what I preach and would like to think this list could possibly benefit others in some way. I’ll list my top 32 and keep in mind that towards the end of the list could reflect who I would hope would be available. I’m sure certain “names” will be noticeably missing and there may be a few surprises. I’m looking for production vs. value as I draft and believe this would be exactly how I would draft in order if at all possible. You will notice there are no CBs. I wouldn’t play in a league that uses designated cornerbacks. This would not matter what draft position I started in. I’d simple grab in order as I could and if I started coming up short towards the end I would then simple fill in my needs as I hit the order in the mid 20s.

1. Kwon Alexander TB
2. Bobby Wagner SEA
3. Deion Jones ATL
4. Jamie Collins CLE
5. Telvin Smith JAC
6. Joey Bosa LAC
7. Landon Collins NYG
8. Ryan Shazier PIT
9. Keanu Neal ATL
10. Danielle Hunter MIN
11. Benardrick McKinney HOU
12. Jatavis Brown LAC
13. Cameron Jordan
14. Jerrell Freeman CHI
15. Zach Brown WAS
16. Morgan Burnett GB
17. Barry Church JAC
18. K.J. Wright SEA
19. Melvin Ingram LAC
20. Jerry Hughes BUF
21. Jamal Adams NYJ
22. Jarrad Davis DET
23. Myles Jack JAC
24. Sean Davis PIT
25. Jabrill Peppers CLE
26. Byron Jones DAL
27. Raekwon McMillan MIA
28. Kevin Minter CIN
29. A.J. Klein
30. Frank Clark SEA
31. Marcus Maye NYJ
32. Grady Jarrett ATL (keeping my eye on Takk McKinley)

Of course, this wouldn’t ever play out as I would like to script it. But as for my personal rankings and the way I’d like a draft to fall I do think I went in order and could possibly get a nice amount of who I would like to own. You’ll notice that a DT wasn’t picked until the last pick. Knowing I could fill in with waiver wire pickups as I needed them. I believe most other viable DT would be gone at that point and I am not one to draft DT at where they normally would be taken in most drafts I have participated in.

This is only my personal preference if I could possibly pull it off for the most part. Heaven help us if you put it to good use. Thanks for reading and have a great 2017 fantasy season.
