Week 10 Top DFS Plays
Jared Goff – $6,700 (vs. HOU)
Jared Goff had the best game of his career last week as he threw for 311 yards and four touchdowns. That heat should continue against a Houston defense that has given up the 4th most fantasy to quarterbacks. They’ve given up 760 and six touchdowns over the past two weeks to Russell Wilson and Jacoby Brissett.
Ben Roethlisberger – $6,600 (@ IND)
Big Ben will have has full arsenal of Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant, and Juju Smith-Schuster against the lowly Colts defense that just lost Vontae Davis. Hopefully Ben shook his dust off during the bye and the Steelers came up with an effective plan to incorporate all of their offensive weapons. This team should be putting up 450 yards of offense a week.
Jay Cutler – $5,100 (@ CAR)
I never thought I’d be putting Cutler’s name here, but the Dolphin’s offense looked good last week. The dynamic set of Damian Williams and Kenyan Drake seemed to open things up and Cutler threw for 313 yards and three touchdowns. The Panthers secondary gave up 311 yards and two touchdowns last week to Matt Ryan and has been mediocre at best all season. With a healthy Devante Parker and a consistent Jarvis Landry, Cutler should be able to exploit some mismatches in coverage.
Leonard Fournette – $8,400 (vs. LAC)
Leonard Fournette is healthy and back in action this week against a Chargers defense that has given up the 8th most fantasy points to running backs. In his last three games, Fournette has had at least 23 touches and 138 total yards. He’s also scored four total touchdowns in those games. The offense runs completely through him and he should see a heavy workload this Sunday as well.
Carlos Hyde – $6,300 (vs. NYG)
Carlos Hyde seems to fall under the radar every week, but he’s only had less than 12 PPR points twice this season, and is going up against a Giants defense this week that has given up 100 rushing yards in every game except one this season. Hyde is second in RB targets and fourth in attempts inside the 10 yardline (second in attempts inside the 5). Hyde gets usage no matter if the 49ers are in the game or not.
Lamar Miller – $5,200 (@ LAR)
Despite preseason worries that Lamar Miller was going to be in a time-share with D’onta Foreman, Miller has more than doubled Foreman’s carries so far this season. The Rams give up 121 rushing yards per game and have surrendered eight rushing touchdowns. Without DeShaun Watson, the Texans will need to rely heavily on establishing a run game.
A.J. Green – $7,700 (@ TEN)
After being shut down by the Jaguars elite secondary and then ejected from the game for starting a fight, A.J. Green will run his routes a lot more freely against a Titans defense that has given up the 11th most fantasy points to wide receivers. Pro Football Focus gives Green a 51% advantage over rookie Adoree’ Jackson.
Jarvis Landry – $6,100 (@ CAR)
Jarvis Landry has had at least five catches in every game this season and has already reached the end zone as many times as he did all of last season (four touchdowns in the last five games). He’s the WR 5 in PPR formats and he’s just about as consistent as it gets. The Dolphins offense seemed to have opened up last week without Jay Ajayi and with two dynamic running backs in his place. Cutler threw for 313 yards and three touchdowns. Cutler and Landry should be able to exploit a weak Panthers secondary
Sterling Shepard $5,500 (@ SF)
K’waun Williams has been one of the worst slot corners in the league this season and is targeted more frequently than any other. Sterling Shepard is the best wide receiver Eli Manning has got right now and he’ll certainly look to take advantage of this matchup. Last week he was targeted nine times and I believe this week he’ll get all those looks as well.
Rob Gronkowski – $7,000 (@ DEN)
After going up against the Chargers and Falcons (the league’s second and third toughest defenses against tight ends) before the Patriots’ bye, Gronk now gets a dream matchup against the Broncos who have given up the second most fantasy points to the tight end position. With Aqib Talib, Chris Harris Jr., and Bradley Roby taking care of the wide receivers, the Tom Brady/Gronk connection should be at full force.
Cameron Brate – $4,100 (vs. NYG)
With Mike Evans serving a suspension in this one, Cameron Brate’s opportunity increases. Brate and Evans together make up 54.6% of the Bucs’ red zone targets, this week a bigger chunk of that will go to Brate.
